Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [GRENVILLE COUNTY (Kemptville)] Fatal Collision in Prescott 2015-05-27
(Prescott) – Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal collision in the Town of Prescott.
Shortly after 6:00 pm on May 26th, 2015, police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Edward Street involving three vehicles in front of the South Grenville High School.
A 2006 Chrysler passenger van was stopped in the southbound lane to turn into the main entrance of the school when it was struck from behind by a 2008 Harley Davidson Motorcycle also travelling southbound. The driver of the motorcycle was ejected from the motorcycle and was hit by a northbound 2014 Chevrolet Cruise.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 51 year old male from Spencerville, was transported from the scene by ambulance and then later pronounced deceased.
There were no other injuries as a result of the collision and there was minor damages to the passenger van and the Chevrolet Cruise.
The investigation is ongoing.
