WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Krista Reid, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on July 14th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on April 27th, 2017 for a probation breach and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On July 14th, 2017 the woman was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on August 15th, 2017.
ASSAULT, THREATS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth and two 17-year-old Cornwall youths were arrested and charged with assault. The two 17-year-old youth were also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and one of them was charged with threats. It is alleged on June 14th, 2017 a 14-year-old youth was threatened then assaulted by three youths and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation all three youths were taken into custody and charged accordingly. Their names were not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Rachel Decoste, 43 of Cornwall was arrested on July 15th, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on July 15th, 2017 the woman was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when she was stopped by police in the area of Pitt Street and Ninth Street. She was taken into custody during the traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 27th, 2017.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Steven Nyhof, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on July 15th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to notify police of a change of address as per his conditions and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 15th, 2017 the man was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on August 31st, 2017.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 16th, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on July 16th, 2017 the man pushed his common-law wife and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 31st, 2017. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
SEXUAL ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – Omar Richards, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on July 17th, 2017 and charged with sexual assault and possession of a controlled substance (speed). It is alleged in the early morning hours of July 17th, 2017 the man inappropriately touched a 19-year-old woman and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a controlled substance (speed). He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
