Thieving in South Stormont #OPP Round Up for 090717

BREAK IN

 

 

(South Stormont) — On September 5, 2017 at approximately 12:59am SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a Break and Enter at a Business on Highway 138, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that on September 5, 2017 culprit(s) forcibly entered the business but did not remove any items

An investigation continues.

 

(South Stormont) — On September 5, 2017 at approximately 9:48am SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a Break and Enter at a Business on Highway 138, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that overnight on September 4-5, 2017 culprit(s) forcibly entered the business and removed Canadian currency and electronics.

An investigation continues.

 

 

SHOPLIFT

 

(South Dundas) – On September 5, 2017 at approximately 6:38pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of a theft at a Business on Main Street, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an adult female removed items from the store. Further investigation revealed that the female removed items from another business on County Road 2, South Dundas Township. Investigation also revealed that the female was in contravention of conditions and had possession of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

 

 

Susan CHIEFARI (35) from South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;

 

–             Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting (2 counts)

–             Fail to comply with conditions of an Undertaking

–             Possession of a Controlled Substance

 

 

She was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

                                                            

 

CHARGES LAID RELATING TO BREAK IN

 

 

(South Stormont) – On September 5, 2017 at approximately 10:39pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a Break and Enter in progress at a business on Amell and Ranald George Road, South Stormont Township. SD&G officer located the suspects at the location and the investigation indicated that the culprits forcibly entered the business and removed several items.

 

SD&G OPP Officers arrested two male in connection with the break-in.

 

Thomas McBRIDE (24) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Break and Enter

– Theft Under

 

A 17-year-old Male of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Break and Enter

 

 

Both Males were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on November 9, 2017.

 

 

STOLEN VEHICLE

 

 

(South Stormont) – On September 6, 2017 at approximately 8:53am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a Tractor Trailer from a Business on Headline Road, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that sometime between (September 5-6, 2017) a 2009 Black International Prostar with Quebec Licence Plate (L71629) was removed from the property.

 

An investigation continues.
