Cornwall Women Charged With Assault By Phone & Dog Threats 102417

ROBBERY

Cornwall, ON – Larry Deserres, 59 of Cornwall was arrested on October 23rd, 2017 and charged with robbery. It is alleged on October 11th, 2017 the man attended a Second Street West store and demanded money from the clerk. The man then fled the area and police were contacted to investigate. On October 23rd, 2017 the man was taken into custody by members of the Cornwall Investigation Division, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 23rd, 2017 and charged with assault with a weapon and breach of probation for communicating with a certain person and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 23rd, 2017 police attended a Guy Street residence for a disturbance call. Once on scene they found the woman in the company of the man she is not to communicate with. The woman was taken into custody and it was learned she had assaulted the man on October 21st, 2017 by striking him with a cell phone. The woman was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 24th, 2017 and charged with threats. It is alleged during an investigation into a domestic dispute on October 23rd, 2017 it was learned the woman threatened to kill her boyfriend’s dog. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

There were 68 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8am the previous day to 8am the day of the release).
