BREACH
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 21st, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to remain in her residence, failing to abide by rules of the residence and being outside the residence without her surety. She was also charged with breach of a youth probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman left her residence without permission between November 4th and 5th, 2017 and police were contacted to investigate. On November 21st, 2017 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act as the conditions stem from when the woman was a youth.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 20th, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged while investigating a disturbance call on October 24th, 2017 it was learned the woman punched her 17-year-old boyfriend. The woman was located on November 20th, 2017, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
Cornwall, ON – Antonio Giamei, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on November 21st, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on November 21st, 2017 the man assaulted another man known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 19th, 2017.
