Elderly female drugged and robbed
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations is currently investigating an incident that occurred on December 7th 2017 in the Riverside Drive and Hunt Club area, where an elderly female was drugged and robbed of valuables while inside her home.
Posing as a prospective homebuyer, the male suspect offered chocolates and wine to the victim. The victim lost consciousness, after ingesting the chocolate and awoke to find money and other valuables missing from her home.
Male suspect described as a white male, and was of medium build and height, 45-50 years of age, with shaved head. He spoke English with a French accent. The suspect wore a dark hat and blue winter jacket and may be driving a white Jeep Grand Cherokee (photo provided by SPVM.)
Similar incidents occurred in Montreal during the same time frame. Ottawa Police have maintained communication with Montreal police.
