On Friday, February 12, 2016, Matthew VALENTINI, 34 years old of Ottawa was arrested for offences relating to the sexual exploitation of a 15 year old female over a period of time between 2013 and 2014.
The Ottawa Police Human Trafficking Unit has laid the following charges:
- Trafficking in persons under 18 by recruiting
- Trafficking in persons under 18 receive material benefit
Additional charges of Possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine) and Drive while suspended were laid by West District Neighbourhood Officers.
An ongoing investigation indicates that Valentini may have had inappropriate contact with other minors. Other charges may be laid.
