Student Fist Shaking Ends up In Charge POLICE Blotter Cornwall Ontario MARCH 18, 2016

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 17^th, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged on March 10^th, 2016 the youth made a gesture with a fist towards a teacher and police were contacted to investigate. On March 17^th, 2016 the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DRUG WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Nicole Gareau, 61 of Cornwall was arrested on March 17^th, 2016 and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana and possession of a prohibited weapon. It is alleged the Cornwall Street Crime Unit executed a drug warrant on March 16^th, 2016 at a Cumberland Street address and located a quantity of cocaine, marijuana and pepper spray. Nicole Gareau was taken into custody on March 17^th, 2016, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 21^st, 2016.

BREACH

            Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 17^th, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for being out past curfew and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the youth failed to return home prior to her curfew and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the youth was located at a Louisa Street address, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Kenneth Huntley, 65 of Cornwall was arrested on March 17^th, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on March 17^th, 2016 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Fourth Street West and McConnell Avenue. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 24th, 2016.

Cornwall, ON – Nathan Leroux, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on March 17^th, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on March 17^th, 2016 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Thirteenth Street and Henry Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop and found to be in breach of a recognizance for having consumed alcohol and being out past curfew. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Gary Freeman, 58 of Cornwall was arrested on March 18^th, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on March 18^th, 2016 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Fourteenth Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 24th, 2016.
