SD&G #OPP Round Up for Monday May 6, 2019

WARRANT EXECUTED – MALE ARRESTED

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) On April 16, 2019 at approximately 2:04pm Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Winchester, Ontario, the male fled the scene and was not located.

On May 3, 2019, members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), K9 Unit and SD&G OPP officers executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a property on Thompson Road, North Dundas Township.

William NASH (35) of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Fail to comply with conditions of a recognizance (10 counts)

– Fail to comply with conditions of a probation order (4 counts)

– Operation of motor vehicle while prohibited.

He was held in custody (bail) and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court of justice on May 6th 2019.

IMPAIRED BY DRUG

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On May 2, 2019 at approximately 11:20pm, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle following a traffic violation on County Road 31 North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of a drug.

Conner KINGSLEY (21) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Drive a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by a Drug

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May 23, 2019

STOLEN TRUCK

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On May 4, 2019 at approximately 1:38pm, Stormont Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a truck being taken from a property on County Road 19, South Glengarry Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight unknown individuals attended and removed a 2011 grey Chevrolet Silverado with Ontario plate AW75343.

An Investigation continues.

PROPERTY RECOVERED – MALE ARRESTED

(NORTH GLENGARY,ON) On May 5, 2019, members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and SD&G OPP officers arrested a male in connection to stolen property from Quebec at a property on County Road 24, North Glengarry Township. This resulted in the seizure of a Kubota mini backhoe and a trailer.

Ronald MOUNTAIN (65) of North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

He was held in custody (bail) and scheduled to appear in Ontario court of justice in Cornwall.

FEMALE BREACHING CONDITIONS

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) On May 5, 2019 at 3:57pm SD&G OPP officers located a female on Highway 401 off ramp in South Glengarry Township. The female was found to be breaching her previous release conditions.

Leah PATRIE (50) of La Du Bonnet, Manitoba, was arrested and is charged with;

–            Fail to comply with conditions of a Undertaking (CCC)

She was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to a court appearance at the Ontario Court of justice on May 6, 2019.

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

(SD&G) – On May 3-5, 2019 Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement in SD&G and intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicles were impounded and their driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy and were charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

– May 3, 2019- 9:18pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped traveling 151km/h (100km/h zone) (Highway 401) Male (43) driver from Mississauga, Onatrio.

– May 5, 2019- 11:24am (South Dundas); vehicle stopped traveling 152km/h (100km/h zone) (Highway 401) Male (29) driver from Oshawa, Onatrio
