PUBLIC MISCHIEF, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Lori McConkey, 56, of Cornwall was arrested on January 29th, 2020 and charged with public mischief and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 7th, 2020, the woman reported her motor vehicle as stolen to police and an investigation ensued. During the investigation it was determined that the vehicle had not been stolen as reported. On January 29th, 2020 she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 11th, 2020.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Peter Garlough, 40, of Cornwall was arrested on January 29th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on January 29th, 2020, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 27th, 2020.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old man of Carlsbad Springs, ON was arrested on January 29th, 2020 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend on January 29th, 2020, the man assaulted her and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 18th, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Ashleigh Fogarty, 28, of Apple Hill was arrested on January 30th, 2020 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged during the early morning hours on January 30th, the woman was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Thirteenth Street. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 13th, 2020.
