WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Michael Fraser, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on July 20th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his recognizance and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 20th, 2016 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the man was in custody on unrelated matters. The warrant was executed and the man remained in custody for a bail hearing.
BREACH, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – Trevor Archambault, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on July 20th, 2016 and charged with threats and breach of probation for communicating with a certain person and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on July 4th, 2016 the man threatened to kill the man he has conditions not to communicate with and police were contacted to investigate. On July 20th, 2016 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 25th, 2016.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Amanda Lalonde, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on July 20th, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for not residing at a specified address and breach of probation for not notifying a change of address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an investigation on July 20th, 2016 it was learned the woman had moved without notifying police and an n investigation ensued. Later that day police attended a First Street address for an unwanted person call and located the woman. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT POLICE, THREATS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 20th, 2016 and charged with assault police, threats and breach of two probation orders for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 17th, 2016 while in custody on unrelated matters the youth threatened an officer and threw a cup of juice in the officer’s face. On July 20th, 2016 the youth was arrested at the Cornwall Courthouse, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 20th, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with his ex-girlfriend, being in her presence and not residing with his surety. It is alleged police were made aware the man breached his conditions and an investigation ensued. On July 20th, 2016 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – Genevieve MacFarlane, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on July 20th, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged during a dispute at a local coffee shop parking lot the woman struck a 52-year-old man in the face and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 25th, 2016.
